CONTEST RULES

 

The Summer in The Haute Challenge (“Contest”) and associated Photo Contest (“Photo Contest”) are sponsored by The Haute Initiative, Inc. (“Sponsor”), and are governed by these rules. By participating in the Contest/Photo Contest, each Participant agrees to abide by these rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results, as determined by the Sponsor and its agents, are final in all respects. 

 

The information you provide will be used for the purposes of administering the Contest, to notify winners and to distribute any prizes. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this promotion should be directed to the Sponsor at info@thehaute.org  

 

WHO CAN ENTER/ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to both residents and non-residents of Vigo County of all ages. Volunteers for The Haute Initiative, Inc and employees of Envisionary Media, LLC are not eligible to enter.

 

CONTEST PERIOD 

The Summer in The Haute Challenge begins at 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Friday, May 27, 2022, and ends at 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Friday, September 2, 2022. 

 

For the weekly Photo Contest, the Photo Contest ‘theme’ will be announced on Fridays with deadline for submissions the following Thursday at 11:59 pm. (EST)  Photo Contest winner will be announced the next day (Friday).

 

HOW TO ENTER

The Summer in The Haute Challenge (“Contest”) includes a list of 50 Fun Things to do in Terre Haute/Vigo County (“List”). To enter, participate in activities included on the List, take photo(s) while participating in those activities, and submit those photo(s) by sending it via email to summer@thehaute.org with the subject line indicating your Name and the Activity # on the List (ie, Subject: “John Doe #4” with the image file(s) of that Activity attached within the email). By participating, each Participant grants Sponsor permission to use his/her submitted photograph, name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law. 

 

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY

Each activity on the List is eligible for one Entry per Participant. Participants may submit as many photos as they want for each Activity on the List, but eligible Entries are limited to one per activity per Participant for the Contest. However, all eligible photo submissions will be considered for the Photo Contest, regardless of the number per Activity.

 

WINNER SELECTION

For The Contest, a grand prize drawing will take place on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022. Contest Participants will be granted one Entry per Activity on the List for a maximum number of 50 Entries (for all 50 Activities on the List). Weekly Photo Contest Winners will each be granted one additional Entry for each winning Photo Contest submission. One Participant will be randomly selected from all Entries  for the Grand Prize drawing on September 2, 2022.

 

For the weekly Photo Contest, a specific Activity will be announced each week as the theme for that week’s Photo Contest, and all Entries for that Activity will be considered for that week’s Photo Contest by judges appointed by the Sponsor. Weekly Photo Contest Winners will be announced on social media and notified by email on Friday of each week of The Contest.

 

To be eligible to win either the Contest or Photo Contest, Participants must meet all Contest/Photo Contest criteria. Winners will be notified by the Sponsor through social media and notified by email.

 

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win.

 

PRIZE AVAILABILITY

Prizes will be awarded and available for pickup upon announcement of winners. Some prizes will be required for pickup at the Partner Business.

 

YOUR RIGHTS 

You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit. By submitting an image to enter the Contest, you grant The Haute Initiative a royalty-free, nonexclusive right, in perpetuity, to: 

• Display submitted image(s) on The Haute’s website (www.thehaute.life) and social media pages. 

• Use submitted image(s) on the Internet, in Social Media, Print or Broadcast  in support of our mission.  

• Allow third-parties to share submitted image(s) on social media platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.  

 

INDEMNIFICATION

By entering The Contest, each Participant agrees to indemnify, release and hold harmless Sponsor and all parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies from any liability, damages, losses or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the Participant’s involvement in The Contest, including participation of Activities on the List and the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize that may be won. Sponsor and all parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies do not make any warranties, express or implied, as to the condition, fitness or merchantability of the prizes. Sponsor and all parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents disclaim any liability for damage to a  by entering and participating in this contest, you also agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and all parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, their officers, agents, employees and volunteers from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest, including, but not limited to: unauthorized human intervention in the Photo Contest; technical errors; printing errors; late or undelivered email; errors in the administration of the Contest and/or Photo Contest; injury or damage to persons or property. You waive the right to claim any attorney’s fees and any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct or indirect damages.
