Summer in The Village OR Smith Labyrinth

Through August 25th

Saturday, Aug. 20, marks Vigo County Parks' final "Summer in the Village" event at Fowler Park Pioneer Village. Running from 9 am-1 pm, the free event offers guests the opportunity to learn about pioneer life, trades, skills, cabins and more. The village's 20 log buildings include a blacksmith shop with live demonstrations, working gristmill, covered bridge, church, and furnished, pioneer-era cabins. The big log barn even has a giftshop where guests can purchase handmade goods and candies.

If Saturday from 9-1 doesn't work with your late summer schedule, check out Smith Labyrinth at Hawthorn Park any time!

This week's prize package includes a free night's stay camping at Fowler Park Campground's new rental cabin, a free Skate Party for 10 at Wigwam Skate & Event Center, a dozen Square Donuts, and a bonus entry for the Sept. 2 grand prize drawing!

• Take a photo at either Summer in the Village OR Smith Labyrinth

• Send it to summer@thehaute.org with your Name and "Summer in the Village" or "Smith Labyrinth" in the subject line by Thursday, August 25th at 11:59 pm

It's all part of the Envisionary Summer in The Haute Challenge, a season-long experience contest of 50 Fun Things To Do in The Haute This Summer! For more info, check out www.thehaute.life/summer.
